We were hoping this would be our first 7" inch release but it never made it to pressing and we became dissatisfied with the recording/mixing. So Jen spent a few days dubbing it onto cassette tapes and homemade the covers. This is also the first time you see Pissed Off Guy (then on homemade shirts and the cover of this cassette). We downloaded him from the high school computer for use on a flyer and he just stuck. This is also the first appearance by songs such as "Josh's Night Out." It's about a show with Less Than Jake that turned into a mild riot due to the diverse demographics of the crowd and probably too much beer. Our friend Josh Fitzgerald, a punker from way back, hadn't been to a show for a while as he was settling down a bit. So we put him and his girlfriend Laura on the guest list that night. They ended up caught in the middle of the semi-riot and Laura almost took on a whole clan of gangsta's by herself. Cory jumped into the crowd mid-song and a lot of our friends had bruises the next day. Fighting amongst each other is stupid. We're all part of the same scene. "American Coverup": You get it. "Crash": We're all hanging out with John McLaughlin (friend since kindergarten), Joe Bello, Toby and some girl. We're watching the Whiskey Skate Video where they repeatedly break beer bottles over their heads. I guess John was having a bad night so the next thing you know--Crash, broken arteries and drunk kids in the emergency room. You know the story.
